Day 123, Around the House

A bedtime story: A beautiful princess was peacefully napping on the couch when around 9:30pm she suddenly woke to notice the show she had been watching was over. She groggily pulled herself up and went to brush her teeth. She was about to take her vitamins and proceed to bed when she remembered she had yet to take a picture for the day. *gasp* If she failed to take a somewhat meaningful photograph before the strike of midnight surely she would be turned into an ogre!  She quickly took a few photos of some of her favorite household items and posted them to her daily photo blog. That was a close one… The end.

From looking at these two items it occurs to me that I really don't have an easily definable personal style. And my bedtime story teaches me that I'm a giant dork, more so when I’m tired. Goodnight.

Day 122, Milk Abstracts

A few weeks ago I StumbleUpon a video online where they made milk dance and of course I had to try it. :) Here are two of my favorites from the series.

Sunday, May 1

Day 121, Checkmate

I'm not a chess player and neither is Jeremy. I guess the sole reason for our owning this game is so I can photograph it while we discuss what movie we want to watch...I'm thinking Searching for Bobby Fischer.

Saturday, April 30

Day 120, End of April

Last day of April! Tomorrow we will see if all those April showers were worth it...

I love the feel of this photo.

Friday, April 29

Day 119, Buried Treasure

Well, not entirely buried treasure. I came across this little treasure in a wallet I haven't used in a while. What to do, what to do? Should I invest this little chunk of change? Stick it away for a rainy day? We'll see...

Update: I settled on a Heath Blizzard from Dairy Queen. And it was oh so good. :-)

Thursday, April 28

Day 118, Maple Leaves

Please insert a witty comment here.

I don't know what it is about today but I simply cannot function. Tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow will be better...

Wednesday, April 27

Day 117, More Rain Clouds

It feels like there is a Charlie Brown style rain cloud lingering over our heads.  Good grief...

Tuesday, April 26

Day 116, Hugs and Kisses Anniversary

Today Jeremy and I have been married for nine years!!  That's the hugs and kisses anniversary. Well, it is for us anyways. We make our own rules. :)

Pretty!

Monday, April 25

Day 115, It's Raining, It's Pouring

My backyard after a few days of rain. Unfortunately we still have a few more days of rain coming. I have always wanted a swimming pool...

Sunday, April 24

Day 114, Shuffling Cards

Over since the demise of my handy-dandy Olympus camera I have not had a sturdy pocket sized camera. My 3mp LG env3 camera phone isn't horrible in a pinch.

Since it is just a cell phone photo I'll post two. (This is becoming a habit.)

Saturday, April 23

Day 113, Birds

Finally, it has stopped raining and I am able to explore the great outdoors, well, at least my backyard.  This bird/photo reminds me a lot of the photo I took for Day 15. I wonder if they are related...

And other one because I can. This is Sammy. And yes. He is as evil as he looks.

Friday, April 22

Day 112, Dark, Dreary Day

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.”    Robert Frost

Today was dark, dreary and cold. I snapped this picture in a hurry because I've still have much to do before I sleep.

Thursday, April 21

Day 111, Coffee Beans

I learned quite a bit with this project. First, drink some coffee before you play with the coffee beans. Second, if you spend a bit of time arranging the coffee beans don't try to blow the dust away. Coffee beans are not that heavy. Third, don't make the same mistake twice by blowing the dust away after arranging the coffee beans a second time. Which really brings us back to the first thing I learned: Drink some coffee before you play with the coffee beans.

Wednesday, April 20

Day 110, Ring

I'm back!

Here's what happened: I took the mirror off the wall. Positioned my light stick (?! not sure of the correct name. I think it is supposed to be an under the cabinet light that I have re-purposed) to the side of my ring and gave it a whirl, then Windexed the mirror. I repeated those steps about 17 million times. The above photo I took while resting my twirling hand using the window for back lighting. Afterward, I put the mirror back on the wall about 98% sure my husband won't notice the new scratches. :/

After all that work I had to include a photo of my intended subject.

Monday, April 19

Day 109, An Early Seedy Dandelion

Spring sprung so soon that this little guy is already going to seed, before most of the other dandelions have begun to bloom.

Note: This is the last photo I took in the year 2010 (well, not the last photo. Just the last for this project.) You will notice that the weather has changed drastically from 2010 to 2011. 2010 had a very early spring while it doesn't seem that 2011 is going to have a spring at all.

Sunday, April 18

Day 108, Lazy Sweets

Enjoying the sunset? Or watching the dogs fight over a stick? Both. She is wonderful at multitasking. :-)

Saturday, April 17

Day 107, Fence

They say good fences make good neighbors. Oh boy, our neighbors are going to hate us...

Thursday, April 15

Day 105, Trivial Pursuit Genus Edition

I have no idea why I even own this game. All it does is make me feel dumb dumber.

If you are wondering the answers are:
Italian, The Dave Clark Five, China, After the Fall, The penguin, and Maryland, My Maryland

Monday, April 12

Day 102, Bumble Bee

Bumble bee busy pollinating my weeds. Hopefully he'll come back to pollinate my garden in a couple weeks.

Sunday, April 11

Day 101, Crab Apple Flowers

Due to computer issues I'm a bit behind on my posting. Also this and the next few days worth of photos have no processing other then converting from RAW to JPEG.

Saturday, April 10

Day 100, Knob

If I had remembered that today was going to be day 100 I would have tried for something a little more epic.

Friday, April 9

Thursday, April 8

Day 98, Baby Chicks

Our lil' farming enterprise now includes 2 cows, 3 pigs, and, our latest addition, 12 baby chicks. Now I just have to come up with 12 names...

Sunday, April 4

Day 94, All the Pigs

I was trying to limit the number of farm animal photos I use for this project but this was my favorite for the day.

Saturday, April 3

Day 93, Pressure Washing the Barn

This has been a project we would mention about once a week during the warmer months. It finally got done today. Stay tuned for our color selection but don't hold your breathe. If it takes as long to paint as it did to get it ready to paint it could be awhile.

Friday, April 2

Day 92, Clothes Line

I wonder if I can get a tax credit for line drying my clothes, like all the people that bought energy efficient appliances.

Wednesday, March 31

Day 90, Pretty Chubbs

This cat has such a gorgeous face.

This is the last day of March! Is this year flying by for everyone?

Tuesday, March 30

Day 89, Weeds

“A man of words and not of deeds is like a garden full of weeds”

I choose this photo just because I liked the quote.

Monday, March 29

Day 88, Sweetie on the Fence

“A cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.”

~Ernest Hemingway

Sunday, March 28

Day 87, Stall Latch

This was a busy, busy day! Here is a quick pic of one of the stall latches in the barn.

Saturday, March 27

Day 86, Orchid Mania

This is from Orchid Mania at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. I know just about nothing about flowers except they are pretty. Are those even orchids in this photo?

Friday, March 26

Day 85, Old Water Pump

I hope we can get this lil' guy working again. It would make life a little easier.

Thursday, March 25

Day 84, Straw on the Window

They finally replanted the grass in the front yard. However the straw they blew over the grass seed has covered the whole front of the house. And now that it has started to snow again there are little pieces of straw frozen to the front windows. (The frozen straw is not pictured, this photo is from earlier in the day, before winter came back.)

Wednesday, March 24

Day 83, Baby Ginger

Last month we went to a livestock auction. Today we went back and bought three baby calves. This is the smallest and cutest, Ginger.

Tuesday, March 23

Day 82, Pistachios

This might be my least favorite photo so far this year. Yes, definitely my least favorite. I cannot pinpoint exactly what I dislike. I think it might be the shell-less nut on the right side or simply the fact that I didn't spend a lot of time or effort on this photo.

Monday, March 22

Day 81, Little Statue

I adore this little statue. And adding a more exciting background in Photoshop is always fun.

Day 80, Tommy Boy

Went to one of my three favorite sister-in-law's ☺ house tonight for dinner and a movie. We watched the movie Ladder 49, which has got to be one of the saddest movies ever. When I got back home I needed to get the depressing movie out of my head and I needed a picture for the day. Tommy Boy works like a charm.
