Day 240, Silk Flowers

"I'm going to make a quick stop at Pat Catan's." - The most inaccurate thing I have said all year.
It is almost impossible for me to leave a craft store without looking at just about everything that wasn't there the last time I was there.

Day 229, Queen Anne's Lace

Did you know that Queen Anne's Lace is a wild carrot? Me neither.  However the internet also says that you really should not eat their carrots because there is a very similar looking plant that has poisonous carrots that are deadly.  And the flowers  on the Queens Anne's Lace can cause skin irritation.

Day 215, Around the House, Part 3

Yesterday was a long day and today has been a tiresome and now rainy day. I do not have a whole lot of energy left over for photos so I took these photos while sitting at my desk. I wanted to take photos without moving anything but I had to tweak the clip a little bit.

Day 207, Flowering Weeds

Flowering weeds have a special place in my heart. Ever since my green thumbs apparently withered up and died (something about me forgetting to water them) I really enjoy plants that are pretty and not at all dependent on me.

Day 185, Hosta Flowers

I've never been a big fan of hostas. However their extraordinary hardiness is winning me over. And the flowers are pretty.

Day 164, Tall and Short Daisies

Wild daisies are my favorite flower. I love their simplicity and wildness.

Day 134, Around the Yard

It seems like the rain is here to stay. Cleveland is the new Seattle.
I took these photos around my yard while the thunder rolled overhead.

Day 128, Crab Apple Tree at Sunset

These crab apple trees are currently the prettiest thing in my yard.  Even more so at sunset.

Day 124, Dandelions & Blue Skies

Finally able to go outside! I snapped these at the Margaret Peak Nature Preserve in Eaton Township. I had never been there before but I will certainly go there again, hopefully next time I'll be able to find the trails. :/

Day 120, End of April

Last day of April! Tomorrow we will see if all those April showers were worth it...

I love the feel of this photo.

Day 116, Hugs and Kisses Anniversary

Today Jeremy and I have been married for nine years!!  That's the hugs and kisses anniversary. Well, it is for us anyways. We make our own rules. :)

Pretty!

Day 109, An Early Seedy Dandelion

Spring sprung so soon that this little guy is already going to seed, before most of the other dandelions have begun to bloom.

Note: This is the last photo I took in the year 2010 (well, not the last photo. Just the last for this project.) You will notice that the weather has changed drastically from 2010 to 2011. 2010 had a very early spring while it doesn't seem that 2011 is going to have a spring at all.

Day 107, Fence

They say good fences make good neighbors. Oh boy, our neighbors are going to hate us...

Sunday, April 11

Day 101, Crab Apple Flowers

Due to computer issues I'm a bit behind on my posting. Also this and the next few days worth of photos have no processing other then converting from RAW to JPEG.

Day 86, Orchid Mania

This is from Orchid Mania at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. I know just about nothing about flowers except they are pretty. Are those even orchids in this photo?
