Day 255, Speed Dial #2

I had my wisdom teeth removed today (I'll wait a minute so you think things like, 'oh, that's a shame. You barely used them.' OK. Are you all done? Moving on.) and Jeremy wasn't able to take me to the doctor to enjoy me being goofy from the anesthesia so I called him. Bummer for him. I was completely fine. At least I think. I don't really remember much.
And yes, Jeremy is in my phone under Baby Boy, we're sweet like that. I used to be in his as Baby Girl, but I changed it to "The World's Greatest Wife". I figured it was a nice reminder for him when I call bothering him at while he's work. :)

Day 249, Riding Around

It's been a long time since I took pictures while Jeremy drives. I kinda missed it.

Day 238, Big Fire

Jeremy and Dakota hanging out by the fire.
Jeremy brought this shrub like heap home from work. It made for an incredibly tall fire.
And a very sparky fire.

Day 235, Green Tomatoes

We didn't plant a garden this year. There was just no time between the illnesses and broken body parts, torrential downpours and oppressive heat. This has certainly been a year of extremes. The good news is Jeremy did plant a few tomato plants and they are thriving into a tomato jungle, in spite of the hail storms and careless dogs knocking them down.

Day 233, Hi Ginger! (Please Don't Eat Me)

Our cows(or steers, bovine or whatever other technical term makes you happy) are super friendly. I'm just a big baby when it comes to animals that are five times bigger than me. And I know cows don't eat people but I was wearing green at the time and Ginger might have thought I was a tasty salad.

One good sniff proved otherwise...

Day 232, Water

With it being so hot lately and there being so many thirsty creatures around these parts I spend quite a bit of time passing out water. It would be nice to one day water the animals with getting soaked myself. It's well water and smells like dirty feet.

Day 231, Don't Bother Moving

"Dakota, just so you know this is really, really annoying! Especially when you do this in the middle of the night when it's pitch black. Really, why should I feel bad for stepping on you when you decide to sleep on the stairs? I'm the one falling down the stairs." Based on the look on her face I don't think she understood my reasoning...

Day 228, Paddleboat & Kayaks

Paddleboating and kayaking at Hinckley Lake boathouse just in time for sunset.

Day 225, New Sketch Pad

Little ideas usually just bounce around in my head. I bought a sketch pad just for those ideas. Maybe if I put them in writing I'll be able to make them happen some day.

Friday, August 12

Day 224, Foggy Morning

Morning fog rolling around the neighboring soybean field.
This photo should not be confused with Day 133, Morning Fog, clearly they are completely different (unique, creative titles are hard sometimes).

Thursday, August 11

Day 223, Mossy Wood

I love the color of moss. It is such a cool, crisp color. Sometimes. Sometimes it looks like a wet booger.

Friday, July 8

Day 189, Countryside Antiques

Countryside Antiques in an adorable antique store in Avon, Ohio on Detroit Road.
Three whole floors to explore. Sadly we had only about a half hour to explore but I'll definitely be checking this place out again.

Wednesday, July 6

Day 187, Charge!

Our cows are starting to get big enough to be a little scary when they come running.
If my husband was a cartoon he would be wearing overalls and have a frog in his pocket. He is always coming to the house with random animals that he has rescued from various dangers.

Tuesday, July 5

Day 186, EGGS

Day 185, Hosta Flowers

I've never been a big fan of hostas. However their extraordinary hardiness is winning me over. And the flowers are pretty.

Day 184, Getting Well Sooner

Jeremy came home from the hospital today! Now he's able to catch up on a couple days worth of sleep because it is nearly impossible to sleep in the hospital.
