Day 235, Green Tomatoes
We didn't plant a garden this year. There was just no time between the illnesses and broken body parts, torrential downpours and oppressive heat. This has certainly been a year of extremes. The good news is Jeremy did plant a few tomato plants and they are thriving into a tomato jungle, in spite of the hail storms and careless dogs knocking them down.

Day 193, Morning Glass of Ice(d) Tea
Is it 'iced tea' or 'ice tea'? I think it's iced tea, but the 'd' isn't really enunciated when spoken. Whatever, this tea doesn't even have ice

Day 146, Fresh Eggs
Washing fresh eggs.
On a technical note I took this photo with a macro lens I just borrowed from Borrowlenses.com. The macro lens has now been promoted to my "must have" category. I wish I had more time to play with this lens today. :)

Day 125, Afternoon Tea Break
Another gorgeous day! I really wish I had time to lounge around outside all day. I think I will schedule myself an early evening tea break as well. :)
And if you like iced tea, I adore the Lipton Cold Brew. It's easy-peasy!

Day 122, Milk Abstracts
A few weeks ago I StumbleUpon a video online where they made milk dance and of course I had to try it. :) Here are two of my favorites from the series.

Day 111, Coffee Beans
I learned quite a bit with this project. First, drink some coffee before you play with the coffee beans. Second, if you spend a bit of time arranging the coffee beans don't try to blow the dust away. Coffee beans are not that heavy. Third, don't make the same mistake twice by blowing the dust away after arranging the coffee beans a second time. Which really brings us back to the first thing I learned: Drink some coffee before you play with the coffee beans.

Day 82, Pistachios
This might be my least favorite photo so far this year. Yes, definitely my least favorite. I cannot pinpoint exactly what I dislike. I think it might be the shell-less nut on the right side or simply the fact that I didn't spend a lot of time or effort on this photo.

Day 69, Curiously Strong Mints
Would you like a mint? When someone offers a mint always take it, unless you don't really want to talk to them, in that case rock on garlic breath.

Day 65, Orange Blossom
Pretty and yummy Orange Blossom.
On a technical side I took this picture in about five minutes because I was entertaining guests(a very grown up way of saying "I had friends over") and the guest who this drink was made for was getting thirsty. I didn't realize at the time but my giant head was reflected at the very bottom of the glass, so I used a bit of Photoshop to fix that.

Day 64, Chardonnay
“I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.”
