Day 212, Sunset and Backhoe

We were really busy with the chickens this weekend. Here's a picture of Bobbin.
Last day of July!

Day 211, Riley's Mom and Dad

Riley is my favorite chicken ever. Here are his parents, Luna and Sammy. Luna is the sweetest chicken and Sammy is a big jerk. Riley is already proving himself to be quite feisty. I'm really hoping he mellows out a bit as he gets older.

Day 210, Piglets

Bertha the pig had piglets!!! Sow and 10 piggies are doing well. Naming will begin when personalities are established. Wilbur has been submitted as a possible option. We will see if it makes the cut. :)

Day 207, Flowering Weeds

Flowering weeds have a special place in my heart. Ever since my green thumbs apparently withered up and died (something about me forgetting to water them) I really enjoy plants that are pretty and not at all dependent on me.

Monday, July 25

Day 206, Waiting Patiently

Did I forget to let you out with me? And for the last time STOP SLOBBERING ON THE SCREEN DOOR!

Friday, July 22

Day 203, Air Conditioner

Do you know the way a kid's face looks when their parents tell them they are going to Disney World? Or pudding face? That's what my face has looked like every since I spied Jeremy carrying the a/c up the stairs.

Day 202, It's a Scorcher!

Hey remember when it used to snow everyday?...ahhh...snow.
Think I should water the grass? I don't want to ruin Sweets' fun. She's pretending to be a lioness on the Serengeti.

Day 201, Dakota & Her Pool

She is happiest in the water.

Day 200, Drool

Sunshine & Summertime = Dogs & Drool

Day 199, Watering the Pig

Of all the pictures I took today this is the one I liked the most.

Day 198, Seagull

Day 197, Camping

Been sitting here a couple minutes and I can't for the life of me remember the name of this campground. :( It's in Huron, that's all I got.

Day 196, Blazing Sunsets and Full Moons

Thursday, July 14

Day 195, Cloudy Moon

I thought today was the full moon. I was bummed the clouds where in the way and then thrilled because the clouds were amazing! The full moon is tomorrow so I'll try again tomorrow.

Wednesday, July 13

Day 194, Brand New Peep

We let one of our broody hens sit on her eggs and today one of them hatched!! He/she is pretty much the cutest thing ever.  And is the very first animal born right here on our little farming adventure. :)
In unison everyone...1.2.3....awwwwwwww. :)

Day 193, Morning Glass of Ice(d) Tea

Is it 'iced tea' or 'ice tea'?   I think it's iced tea, but the 'd' isn't really enunciated when spoken. Whatever, this tea doesn't even have ice

Monday, July 11

Day 192, Driving in the Rain

Little rain storm this afternoon. This is the first photo I took. I spent almost the rest of the rain storm trying to take a photo of a more colorful car just to decide I liked this photo best. ugh, I hate it when that happens.

Sunday, July 10

Day 191, Camp Fire

Apparently the concrete under the fire pit explodes. Kinda scary when little pieces of flaming concrete rain down around you but pretty cool when you're not sitting down wind and have a camera. :)

Friday, July 8

Day 189, Countryside Antiques

Countryside Antiques in an adorable antique store in Avon, Ohio on Detroit Road.
Three whole floors to explore. Sadly we had only about a half hour to explore but I'll definitely be checking this place out again.

Day 187, Charge!

Our cows are starting to get big enough to be a little scary when they come running.
If my husband was a cartoon he would be wearing overalls and have a frog in his pocket. He is always coming to the house with random animals that he has rescued from various dangers.

Tuesday, July 5

Day 186, EGGS

Day 185, Hosta Flowers

I've never been a big fan of hostas. However their extraordinary hardiness is winning me over. And the flowers are pretty.

Sunday, July 3

Day 184, Getting Well Sooner

Jeremy came home from the hospital today! Now he's able to catch up on a couple days worth of sleep because it is nearly impossible to sleep in the hospital.

Saturday, July 2

Day 183, A Hospital Courtyard

Jeremy's lung is healing nicely. I took this photo of the courtyard outside his window to show him because he couldn't get out of bed.

Friday, July 1

Day 182, Pneumothorax

Today was scary. Jeremy went to the hospital because he was having trouble breathing. After about four hours of waiting it was determined Jeremy had a spontaneous pneumothorax or collapsed lung. He made the whole thing look way to easy. This is a picture of Jeremy's vitals and the room where they inserted his chest tube. *shiver*
