Day 261, Vitamins
I'm getting better at remembering to take my vitamins. Also, I came across this site with a drug interactions checker to help make sure your vitamins don't have wacky interactions with each other, your other meds or even food. But as always talk to your doctor.
And a fun little behind the scenes look at my photo madness. I was aiming for an easy set up today. :-)

Day 260, Praying Mantis
I don't remember ever meeting a praying mantis before. I kind of like their cute, little, alien faces.
And this is a look at the corn maze at Mapleside Farms. I took this photo during the Johnny Appleseed Festival and don't let this photo fool you there were at least a gobzillion people there. If you want to check out the corn maze it will be open until November 5th.

Day 256, Choppin Broccoli
Jeremy has been chopping and stacking lots of firewood lately. He must be expecting a cold winter. brrr.
I was going to name this photo Chopping Firewood but SNL's Choppin Broccoli got stuck in my head...
It's still there. ♫ Choppin' broccoli. She's choppin' broccoli. ♫
Unfamiliar with Choppin Broccoli? Watch. Laugh. You're welcome. ☺

Day 255, Speed Dial #2
I had my wisdom teeth removed today (I'll wait a minute so you think things like, 'oh, that's a shame. You barely used them.' OK. Are you all done? Moving on.) and Jeremy wasn't able to take me to the doctor to enjoy me being goofy from the anesthesia so I called him. Bummer for him. I was completely fine. At least I think. I don't really remember much.
And yes, Jeremy is in my phone under Baby Boy, we're sweet like that. I used to be in his as Baby Girl, but I changed it to "The World's Greatest Wife". I figured it was a nice reminder for him when I call bothering him at while he's work. :)

Day 253, Skunk Fest
I'll bet you were expecting to see a picture of a skunk. Well, then here's one just for you...
Everyone held their skunks like little babies. It was hard to get a good picture. Plus, I didn't have my 'elbow through the crowds in the mud' shoes on. I came close to slipping multiple times.
Oh and FYI - the numbering and order of the last seven photos is all wrong. I could try to explain myself but instead I will just hang my head in shame and then shake it off. : )

Day 244, Why?
It's been a really long time since I have done any light painting photos. Why? I do not know.
This photo probably took a total of about five minutes to go from concept to a web ready photo. I was impressed. I was able to make an almost perfect question mark fairly quickly, after only five tries! (compared to the more complicated light painting photos I have done that took no less than five million attempts...well maybe a few less) And I didn't need to edit anything, so... Bam! I'm done. (The quickness of everything is a good thing because I did not feel good today. My wisdom teeth are making my entire face and head hurt. :-( My stupid wisdom teeth are scheduled for annihilation in 11 days!)

Day 243, Stained Glass Window Film
I understand this is probably a boring photo to most people but I'm pretty excited about it...sorta.
I'll start at the beginning. I hate, hate, hate venetian blinds. I never keep them clean and they never add anything to a room. Well at this moment I'm happy to report, there are no longer any venetian blinds in use at my house. Yay! This is a photo of the stained glass window film I put in our half bath. It's not exactly the style I wanted but I liked it well enough to buy it for twenty bucks. The problem is it is just a tiny bit too small. Not enough that anyone would notice from the street, but it is totally noticeable from in the bathroom. *sigh* Oh well....I like it way more than venetian blinds.

Day 236, Old, Stuffed, White Orangutan
I haven't the foggiest idea where this gal came from. So I apologize deeply if you gave me this stuffed animal and I forgot or if this was a prized possession of yours that somehow ended up with me. If either is true please let me know.
All I know for sure is this gal was there on my first date with Jeremy. I found her in the basement a few days ago and cleaned her up. Now she's extra white and mountain fresh. All she needs now is a name. I have no idea why I think she's a she. I'm thinking Asmara, it means love and is an Indonesian name which is where orangutans are from. :) ....I don't over think things.

Day 235, Green Tomatoes
We didn't plant a garden this year. There was just no time between the illnesses and broken body parts, torrential downpours and oppressive heat. This has certainly been a year of extremes. The good news is Jeremy did plant a few tomato plants and they are thriving into a tomato jungle, in spite of the hail storms and careless dogs knocking them down.

Day 233, Hi Ginger! (Please Don't Eat Me)
Our cows(or steers, bovine or whatever other technical term makes you happy) are super friendly. I'm just a big baby when it comes to animals that are five times bigger than me. And I know cows don't eat people but I was wearing green at the time and Ginger might have thought I was a tasty salad.
One good sniff proved otherwise...

Day 231, Don't Bother Moving
"Dakota, just so you know this is really, really annoying! Especially when you do this in the middle of the night when it's pitch black. Really, why should I feel bad for stepping on you when you decide to sleep on the stairs? I'm the one falling down the stairs." Based on the look on her face I don't think she understood my reasoning...

Day 229, Queen Anne's Lace
Did you know that Queen Anne's Lace is a wild carrot? Me neither. However the internet also says that you really should not eat their carrots because there is a very similar looking plant that has poisonous carrots that are deadly. And the flowers on the Queens Anne's Lace can cause skin irritation.
